Lisa was a fashion designer for many years in SoHo, NY. She was part of the 80's trend setting styles including hosiery, knits, retro styles, crushed taffeta dusters, graffiti print garments and a unique fishnet fabric line. She sold worldwide to boutiques and department stores under the label Oliviere Oliviere, SoHo NY. Currently she is not producing her own line but loves to help up and coming designers with theirs!
Lisa's classes are fun, hands on and informative. She books private classes for all ages and skill levels, machine tutorials, and sewing parties for small groups. She provides some materials and has made just about everything with her students, including handbags, costumes, garments, pillows, quilts, repurposed old clothing and linens, dresses, and much more. So if you want to learn how to sew, Lisa is the place to go.
Lisa also has a full service sewing shop where she tailors and alters clothes, and makes custom clothes as well as curtains, slipcovers and pillows. She is not only fast but accurate. She also does small productions and sample making including patterns and copies. So if your jacket needs new lining, she can fix it for you. If you like that old dress, she can recreate it for you. Basically, if it involves sewing, she has you covered.
Just a few of my favorite pics, from in and out of the studio!
